Thanks! I’ll have to drop soon if I plan to get below the kiddo. She was 117 last appt and we have her set up appt in 7-8 days. Was hoping the 118 would stick. Either way she will keep building muscle so I’ll get there it may just take longer. And let’s face it, I haven’t been trying at all since the new year and not really for the last 20 weeks. She’s started making a big deal of this comp so I’m not sure I want to do it too quickly. Plus I want to just barely get under her, no more than two pounds. Then quickly gain it back. 13 is a hard age but I want her to see that it’s possible to achieve your goal and maybe she will stop obsessing over our similarities and differences. She’s a mini me lol. Looks just like my graduation pics! Hubbys side of the family are quite heavy on his dads side and some(more than half) on his moms side are slightly overweight. Some on my side are too- mainly the ones shorter than me. Her genetics are against her so she will need to watch this her whole life. Thankfully with sports and 2 hours of activity at school she can eat as she likes and keep the weight off right now. She’s the same weight I was after I married and 7# heavier than when I got my license... @ 3 years older than she is now. That bugs her but she has her daddy’s genes too! She also looks very healthy and not heavy in the least. It doesn’t bother her enough to put down the snack cakes or the second helping at dinner so I know her attitude on her weight and size is healthy lol. Just a kid seeing family and friends gain fat while she gains muscle and I’m proud that she’s now realizing the difference. She thinks about it but not in a bad way I guess. :)
