I’ve had a cold for about two weeks, so I finally called the doctor yesterday and was prescribed doxycycline and some cough syrup. The cough is the worst – it hurts and my chest and my throat and I’ve basically lost my voice. Made some chicken noodle soup yesterday for dinner it was awesome! I couldn’t really taste it, but the warmth felt good on my throat.
Anyway, wearing the Fitbit that belonged to my husband has really been helpful. Even with this cold I’m still walking the dogs so I can get in my steps and so they can get the exercise they need. So between Fitbit and its data, and logging on FatSecret here, I feel I’m making good progress. I’m not really hungry with this cold, so this week I haven’t been eating as much. Still, it makes my day when I read through others’ journal entries, and I get to see how they are handling losing weight and/or maintaining. This is great and I’m so glad I found you all!😊🎈

Try fresh finapple if you have access to it or pineapple juice for your cough. It contains bromallin which is a component of many cough syrups. It is effective. Hope you feel better soon.
