This is a wonderful victory! I lost 1.5 pounds and I was at a Ukrainian Dance Recital and Potluck dinner last night. Buffets are tough but homemade potluck buffets are the hardest! Everyone cooks their specialties and so everything looks delicious. I came through eating lovely food but all carefully chosen to support my plans. I did have some homemade perogies and I did have a bite or more of some desserts as well as some veggies, touboli (no idea how to spell that!), pulled chicken and coleslaw.

This is my grandson's first year in Ukrainian Dance. He is really enjoying it and wants to continue. He had tried swimming and hockey but although he did each of them for 2 years he just didn't like them much. This he is enthused about. As a proud grandma I have added a picture of him in his dance costume. He did wonderful as a newbie and our family was very proud of him. We made the event a bit of a birthday celebration for him as all of us will be away for his birthday as my husband's big operation is on his birthday.

How fun! That put a big grin on my face. Best of luck to the little guy. And great job navigating the pot-luck dinner. :)

Thank you everyone. It is so nice to have the strong family ties. I am so fortunate to get to spend so much time with my grandchildren. As a child my grandparents lived one in Alabama and the other in Alberta, Canada while I lived in California. My own children had grandparents in Calgary and Toronto while we lived in Peace River. I really didn't expect to get to be a daily active grandparent. Lucky me!
