59Carol's Journal, 27 Jan 19

I am pleased to see this half pound loss. Last week I was eating a number of meals that were difficult to track. Too many ingredients like Nachos for example and hard to decide how much I had really taken for my portion. Or eating on the road and having sandwiches made by others. That sort of thing. I suspected that my tracking was not as brutal as it should have been. Therefore I was unsure how this week's weigh in would go. Fact is I was braced for a gain and was pleased to see a modest loss.

In the big picture I have lost a net of 6 pounds this month, an average of 1.5 pounds a week. This is within my goals so I am pleased with my progress. Over the last 22 weeks I am averaging 1.25 pounds per week which is also within my 1-2 pound weekly goal so I am satisfied on that front.

Bottom line for me, I need to average 1270 to 1300 calories per day to maintain this loss. I also watch that my fats, carbs and protein are within pre-determined ranges. Generally when I am on my game I am not hungry and I am not craving any specific food. I do have to keep an eye on the sugar beast as that has been and can be a slippery slope for me.

Wonderful! You are doing such a good job and obviously staying on, even when you think you're not. Don't you love when that happens? 😊👍✔

Becc@ yes more than you know! It is the check of whether you are actually making good choices around portion sizes. For me, the food I eat tends to be just fine but portions can be challenging!
