Losing weight and altering one's lifestyle can be quite maddening!
The last 10 days has really been hard between long work hours and running myself into the ground and battling a cold!
Yesterday, I ate a very healthy breakfast of Special K cereal with blueberries, blackberries and a banana.
For lunch, I ate a regular taco, a 5-layer beef and bean burrito and a Gordito Supreme from Taco Bell with a small Dr. Pepper.
For Dinner, I had a McDonald's hamburger, 1 chicken tender and 1/2 a Triple Cheeseburger and a coffee with cream and sugar and I...... lost a 1LB!

Here's where it is fascinating... while eating the Taco Bell I realized my tastes buds no longer enjoyed this crap! I actually tasted what I was eating and it was not appealing. What was really cool was that anything that fell down into the wrapper, I left and did not pick up and eat. The Gordita and burrito I didn't finish either.
For dinner, the McDonald's was a different story and I still love their crap!
But all in all, the volume of food I intake has been the biggest difference and I do not make fast food a regular part of my daily lifestyle now.
After dinner I drank 5 pints of water over the next 2 hours and went to bed knowing I was hungry but not starving.

Today, it's back to eating clean and building my new self-brand.
Let's roll folks...

Rosio19, I am sure you know this even better than I, no matter what you consume your mind is calculating the damage? The calories for all that was still under 2300 for the day so it seemed more damaging than it actually was. The good thing is my body craves better options now. Yesterday, was an anomaly. You and a couple other people are my inspirational guides so I definitely will hold myself accountable. Kellin_4...That crap is why I am fat and has had a grip on me for 4 decades.

Congratulations! It is hard, but I do agree, once the life style is changed, somethings just don't taste the same.

Congrats FB199-- - -> I tossed half of a McD's meal the other day; the salt was too much and my tastebuds are also changing. For me though, when I'm eating too many calories, my crap is the last couple calories for a day. It can be bacon, noodles, chicken.....my mind doesn't mind the calories but my waist does. hang in there and keep on finding/searching for what works.

I found out the same thing when we went to Jack int he Box recently, I just didnt have the taste for it any longer. I lived in Ca and we would eat it all the time, we moved to AR and they dont have it here. We went on a small road trip last weekend to pick up a puppy and there happened to be one in the area and we stopped...it was mediocre at best. I wouldnt do it again. Great job!!!

I like McD's also but find I don't like more than 2 or 3 bites of whatever, and forget if the stuff gets cold.

Count me in as another person who loves McDonald's even though I do not believe it is good for me. My plan is to eat it only once a week. Let's see how I do...

I'm not a McD's fanbut I do like there salads I like Burger King better after a while they all taste the same so I try not to eat at them I do not drink soda that was the biggest change I made so I drink unsweet tea with lemon or lemonade too much salt in fast foods when your trying to watch your sodium
