Kenna Morton's Journal, 02 Apr 18

Hollidays of any kind are a problem for most of us who are trying to control what we eat whether it is for weight loss or health maintenance. I had a couple of potluck events this weekend. Most of my friends know that when I go to These things I always bring a “healthy” choice and they just roll their eyes. Harder when you go to an event where no one really knows that I am not going to eat most of the stuff that is there..I pick a small amount of some of the better choices and do the best I can. I even had a piece of my friend’s aunt’s triple chocolate death by chocolate cake. It didn’t kill me but I feel like it is still sitting there awaiting its turn to be digested. Plus my gym was closed on Friday and yesterday because of the Holliday. Weight wise I’m not much worse for the wear, but my body is screaming, “what the hell happened.” I feel sluggish, and fuzzy still. It will take a couple of days to get back on track. Oh yes, the Easter Basket gifts I was given —— The candy contents made it home just as far as the trash can. They didn’t make it into the house.
