Right now, I am feeling defeated. It takes a lot of work to reverse years of bad habits and I am not getting any results. Well, I am getting the results I don't like. The numbers are all leading to the fact that I am eating off-plan and not exercising enought to burn off a pound each week.
This is a little inspiration though. Found on another person's journal: The 1% Workout http://www.schwarzenegger.com/fitness/post/your-body-is-all-you-need-the-worlds-oldest-training-method-and-a-1-workout
This bodyweight workout can be done 3-4 times per week, and is intended to help you burn fat and build strength. If any of the exercises feel too hard, make modifications and build up to them. Bodyweight squats – 8-10 reps Push-ups (or knee-push ups) – 5-8 reps Plank – hold for 15 seconds Jumping Jacks – 15 reps Bodyweight Reverse Lunges – 6 reps per leg Lying Hip Raise (double or single leg) – 10 reps
This is why there is no excuse to skip working out. I had a boyfriend who was a body-builder and his workout was even simpler: Sit-ups - 3 minutes push-ups - 3 minutes squats - 3 minutes Start with 18 minutes and 5 reps each and build up to an hour with as many reps as you can in 3 minutes.
Tomorrow is Friday, and then the weekend. So, Happy Thursday, all. I am hanging in here, eating salad today.

Hang in there. It's never as easy to take off as it is to put on. Nor, in my opinion, is it as much fun. Exercising makes me sleepy after I finish, and I never feel like it increases my energy, which is why I dislike it. But it will get better, we just have to have faith.

Yes, it does take a lot of work but it's definitely worth it. Don't get defeated - get fighting! The best way is to log all your food and work with the results. Look at what you're eating with a nutritionist's eye. What would they say to you? Is the food you eat good for you, i.e. fresh food, or junk food that's going to do nothing for your health? I'm sorry to say that exercise, although very good for you, does very little for your weight loss. You can do this Abbadabba.

I’m going to give it another try too. It’s hard to get back into the mind set after being gone so long. You can do it!
