abbadabba's Journal, 21 Mar 10

Today I went to my mom's - I did not have pasta that she offered me, but then I was so hungry I had crackers and butter. Tsk. And candy. I had a little potluck last week and people brought cookies - ok, one woman brought cookies, and ravioli, and wine and chocolate. This woman's husband weighs 400 pounds. I think she just doesn't have any clue how to feed other people. Anywho, I gave away all the stuff she left here except the candy. Tomorrow I will bring the candy to work!

Today's calories were still up there. Salad all week then, morning noon and night! Or at least some planning. My daughter bought salad stuff so I have no excuse.

My birds are sitting on my knees right now, one on each knee. They are dozing, facing each other. My ex-to-be is taking one but I know that my birdie will be happy with his dad so I am sad but it's like birdie is going to college or something.

I still have a lot of stress about the divorce. I am not surfacing quite yet because I have a long way to go, but I think I am swimming up for air through the sea of stress! Ok, bad analogy but I am feeling smothered by the stress.

I did think today that I MIGHT go to the weightlifting class on Tuesday. We'll see.

Have a good Monday tomorrow!

Sounds like things are challenging ... take care of yourself the best you can!! Actually ... your comment about the 'sea of stress' painted quite a picture for me ... I can relate!!

Is 1297 too many calories for you (bmr)? I'm sorry abba, I am not too up to date on the divorce situation, though I remember you mentioning it quite sometime ago. It would seem that the "system" could be improved (or at least speeded up) as there are so many people going through the same painful situations. Life is so short, and by the time you wake up from some of these traumatic experiences, you're half dead. I really hope that the clouds lift for you soon, and that you will be able to find the peace that we all looking for and deserve.

thank you for the sympathy Info, and the empathy Moose and yours too Cathy! I didn't add all my snacks from yesterday until today, info, so my total is a little higher! I have been lucky with the divorce so far - although the process is slow it's been good for me not to have to rush through anything and I have been able to think and plan a bit. Ironically, it has been working with the mediator who was really bad at her job that has been the worst part!
