I'm going to attempt making croutons out of the Almond bread, but herbed it up... trying a keto friendly stuffing since tomorrow is my first of four thanksgiving meals I will be having (if not more)

@manda they croutons turned out amazing! I just finished drying them out in the oven... and my silicone hot mitten slipped and the entire dish dumped in the oven. So after I get over this tragedy and clean it up... I plan to try again... because it came out really great!!

Oh what a shame, I hate that that happened! But glad to hear they turned out well! May I please have the full recipe? :)

@manda I will write out my recipe when it comes out good 😉

Bummer - for lunch cooked pork chops and picked up one to put on plate and off it flew on the floor. Ordinarily I would have washed it off but the floor was pretty yucky. Oh Well. I hope you make it again and they are successful. I am always looking for bread-like substitutes.

Check out Carrie Brown's Keto for the Holidays cookbook on Amazon. Two great looking keto stuffing recipes, plus other yummy looking goodies.

@perks54 I did remake it. Fingers crossed it tastes good, my tastebuds have changed, so it will probably be good for me, but I'm making a regular GF stuffing for everyone else.

@gz9gjg I'll have to look into that!! I love holiday foods, only downside is I will miss the treats, since I can't seem to tolerate fake sugars while baking too well... which is weird because I started drinking Coke Zero occasionally and that doesn't hurt my stomach... 🤷‍♀️

@francineseguin I made an almond flour, egg, and oil bread with herbs and then cut it into cubes and dried it out in the oven for a few hours. Then accidentally dumped it in my oven. 😭 but I doubled my recipe and made it again in the afternoon. 👍

@francine yes so far it turned out okay, I haven't added the veggie broth and baked it again. Because I am driving 3hrs tomorrow to our gathering and I don't want it soggy, so I am waiting til we get there to complete it! But my homemade whipped together recipe looks WAY better than the store bought gf version!!!

@Looped you got this, I have noticed that in the moment at a gathering my focuses are more on the company and I have a smaller appetite, so I start with my meat and fat servings and usually never get to the carb servings I allowed myself!! I add butter, cream cheese when ever possible. I also just bought a store bought carton of GF brown gravy and it is only 2g a serving which seemed low for a gravy, I bought it for my celiac daughter but may steal a spoonful!

I am making a sausage stuffing ahead of our family dinner, no bread, so it won't get soggy.

Are you putting sweet corn extract in your bread?

I do love gravy and I'm the one usually tasked with making it. What is used as filler in the gluten free version you bought @Mamamc7?

For a low carb thickener, try Dixie Carb Counters "Thick it up". It works just like arrowroot but faster thickening, so has to be stirred with cool liquid then added slowly and stirred into the gravy.

No corn extract in my bread. Just almond, egg, garlic, rosemary, pepper, paprika, oregano and avo oil.
