Woke up to 60 degrees this morning! The sun is bright and full, the birds are singing, the weekend is almost here - and I feel like CRAP!

I haven't made any progress since last October and I'm to the point of feeling sick about it! Thanks to my journal, I know the exact formula for weight loss (below 50 carbs/1,500 cals). So Simple!

So what happened? Why am I still fat? I've started to eat again for comfort and to combat boredom, etc. Well, no more:
- no more excuses
- no more laziness
- no more embarrassment

Size 10's - Here I come!

Buffy isn't it crazy.....we know all the answers.....but still float along for months not fully following what we know would work. I agree with you - take a hold and let's get back on track!!!

Thats the spirit..You can do this..I think spring will help us all. even though we have had a mild winter..its still winter..with the trees bare and grass not green...I'm rooting for ya girl..:O)

Buffy I have been losing and gaining the same three pounds since October last year!!! I'm good for a little while, then bad for a little while, then good, then bad......I am sure you get the picture - so we have to stay good for longer than the bad and then we will get somewhere :)

Buffy - you know that old saying...let tomorrow worry about itself, well, staying focused on TODAY... hitting that under 50g's/1500cal goal (if that's what your today goal is) is PERFECT! I know it stinks to look back and I also know it stinks to try what you think will work and not have it work... BUT all you can do ... is exactly what you are DOING. TRY SOMETHING that you think is the right choice for your body... and focus entirely on that for TODAY. In a few weeks, you'll be able to tell if that is still the right 'recipe' for you... and if so, you'll be so glad you paid close attention to TODAY. Just do it everyday. Let every TODAY count!

Paula - Yes, that is the simplified version of my formula. What is so embarrassing is that, unlike you, I've known this and failed to act on it. So you are right. I will do this TODAY. And will say the same thing when I wake up tomorrow.

Tracy - So it's been since October for you too? What changed in November?

Buffy - for me I got that terrible bout of flu and stopped exercising, then didn't really do anything from mid-November to beginning of January - overate in December, so all things considered I am glad I did not gain weight!!! So I think if I keep watching my calorie intake and carry on with my exercising I will be dropping again soon - I have already lost an inch on my waist this month because of my exercising :)

Mom2Boxers - from yesterday's comments. DH will stop at the store sometimes and buy chips, etc. (because I don't buy that stuff). I've tried to serve healthier alternatives (Kashi pilaf, whole grain breads, etc.) and I do my best to have lean protein and vegetables on the table every evening. The rest will be up to him.

Tracy - I remember now you being sick. Guess it doesn't take much to get out of the habit of exercising. But I know you are on the right track now!

Buffy I actually told my self this morning that my body may just be where it is going to stay for a while. My goal and its goal may not necessarily be the same. That being said I am still, deep down, totally frustrated and how slowly I am losing right now. Hang in there.

Buffy not to fret, we're all going thru something ! I'm also beginning to think maybe I'm suppose to be at this weight ????? I exercise, and yes I do fudge on some things, but I feel pretty good about myself. We've started water aerobics again here at the park, and I love that, so why do I beat myself up ??? We all do that, so we should STOP !!!
