Guess the folks downstairs didn't get the message today…. French toast, orange juice, Dole mixed fruit. I'll have the coffee and bacon.

Oh dear! Will you last to lunchtime or will Denise need to bring in extra nuts and ham? Strange though - they've pretty much done you proud on matching your eating wishes to date. Have a good day, Bill!

Just when you think you have the kitchen trained, someone comes in with a hangover and botches it up. Ha! I imagine there are different people in rotation that work in the kitchen. By the time you leave, all of them will have your preferences.

You are the authority of what you need to eat. I find it so curious how ignorant our hospitals are about nutrition. Even a lot of the Nutritionists haven't a clue.

All hospitals, both in the UK and the US seem to be very ignorant about nutrition, unfortunately. I used to work in a UK hospital and was horrified at the lunches in the staff canteen. Hardly anything healthy available - pie and chips (fries) seemed to be on the menu everyday, plus no end of other starchy things and very few salads, fresh veg, etc. Lots of sweet desserts with custard too. There were so many obese nurses, I was astonished.

Best policy, Bill! 😊. This website is great for sharing information on low carb eating though. It's the only one I could find like it. I'm full of admiration for how you stick so strictly to it. Hopefully I'll get there one day 😉

That is what I am doing, too, Bill. I am not strict with myself and I should be. I just get so bored. I guess that is why I like trying new recipes.
