BuffyBear's Journal, 08 Dec 11

You would think I'd learn to listen to you - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! Have been drawn into Nut Mania.

I tell myself I eat them for my joints. But, my Fish Oil Caps will have to suffice for a while. No more nuts until I can learn to measure 1/2 oz and stop there!

Work is much better today - projects winding down. Also - Got some vacation days coming up so the stress will be over soon!

Try Osteo-Bi-Flex for your joints....less addictive. I DO feel your pain. Roasted sunflower kernels (not seeds) are a less addictive "nut", at least to me, and they can help satisfy that urge to crunch on something that resembles a nut.

I've been eating tons of nuts here as well. Last night I ate a whole bag of pistachios (2.5 servings) Very difficult to eat 1 serving of any nuts, but I agree with Sandy on the sunflower seeds. I can eat those and still stay under the serving size.

Macadamia nuts are the best for me... i can stay under control with them because they have such a 'fat' taste. Pistachios and dry roasted peanuts - nope. They are just too addictive. I thik it is the crunch an the salt that cause me to not eat just one, Not much give me the crunch factor and I never salt things so ..... I just try to choose the ones that are lower in net carbs.

Groaning in total understanding I am...what IS it about those darn nuts? Seeds, maybe that would be better.

Notfast - maybe they should put warning labels on them.

Nonna - I have them all over the house because of DH - but you just gave me an idea. I'll buy him cashews because I don't care for them.

Sandy - will check into the Osteo-Bi-Flex. I just bought some SAM-e for my fibromyalgia. Feel like a drug addict.

Icy - Well, I used to have willpower but not sure what happened to it. I'll definitely get some sunflower seeds.

GG - Thanks for understanding. I can blame it on the nuts, but it all comes down to portion control.

I get you girl I love nuts too....sounds so funny......but they are little buggers they seem to wink at me.....

Oh this is too funny. I completely indulged in nuts last night. Wish I would have been on before I opened the package. Maybe I would have been able to resist. What is it about them? I would rather eat them than anything else - including a meal.
