Having a nice Sunday so far. DH took me to a fall festival and then out to lunch. Think he is buttering me up because next weekend is his birthday - but I always treat him right.
To everybody to replied to my journal yesterday - I went to make the chili and didn't have all of the ingredients. Threw together some veggie beef soup instead. There will be plenty of cold weather coming so will have lots of chili before the season is over.
As for portion control - I have a gimmick. I dragged out some little soup mugs that I had bought for the grandkids. They only hold one cup. So I can have my mug of soup and feel just as full as if I'd eaten out the the "adult bowl", which holds about 2-1/2 cups.
Got to go get some stuff done. Catch you all Monday.

Buffy,Good call on the smaller soup mugs..I think I have some of them for my grandkids as well.Wonder if they will let me trade with them?

Happy Sunday how lovely DH took you to festival and lunch....I am sure you will spoil him next weekend great idea with the smaller dishes I usually eat on a breakfast plate unless I have it so piled high with veggies......
My Westie is a real sweetheart she was abused we got her from the Humane Society when about a year old, she had hardly any hair and was very underweight but is now a little old lady of 13 she was very scared and took about 4yrs to settle down so often wonder what kind of a life she had. But has a lovely life now. We did have a Cairn Terrier (Ben) the double of Toto in the Wizard of Oz he was a real gent probably the most gentle and kind dog we have ever had, we put him down last year he was 18 1/2 yrs old. We still really miss him, but funny thing is Daisy is a different dog now seems to have come out of her shell and showing a really funny side of herself.

Hey, Buffy. Read your journal. No doubt you are sound asleep about now. It is almost 11pm where you are. The child size soup cup for portion control sounds like a great idea. Hope you have a good time next week end for DH's birthday. Chili sounds great too. I have a vegetarian chili recipie that I got for my daughter-in-law. It sounds pretty good and has lots of beans. I really like beans. I'll try it this winter.
