Draglist's Journal, 11 Jan 16

Woke at 216.4, up 1.0 from yesterday. Topped out at 1895 calories, but ate an extra 100 grams of carbs in the form of an orange and a sweet potato. Those may have increased the water a bit. Also, only burned 2924 calories. UPDATE: Spent the morning at the doctor and getting lab work. Came back to catch up on day job work, took a break for a quick dinner and to do my radio show, and then back to work past midnight. Did not get in a workout. Only burned 2529 calories but only ate 1764. Will get more steps tomorrow when I go into the office. Also, will try to get in a very low cal day as Wednesday I’m speaking a catered conference and there is a happy hour after. Thursday is a business lunch as well. Not worrying at all about catching up to my calorie goal because I’m doing a colonoscopy on Monday morning so all of Sunday will be clear liquids followed by three bottles of human Drano! :) Lots of work tomorrow night as well but will get in a workout. No weigh in tonight but will get back on track tomorrow. (It’s already past 1:00 am on Tuesday).

I pay attention to what you do and how you analyze the information. It looks pretty scientific... like an experiment. I try to keep it real simple and I use the calorie counter and try to keep a calorie day between 1500 and 2000 per day. Of course it's not exact for me but I have a general idea of what I am putting in. I look to have half of the grams of protein and fat of carbs. Like if carbs are 100 then protein and fats are 50 each. It's been working as long as I get on my bike nightly. It's difficult to get a good workout in sometimes so keeping a balanced diet seems make it all easier when I do get on the bike.

But I do appreciate the scientific approach you have. I enjoy reading it. Have a great day Bill.

You're on the path down and will get there. I also like you you're constantly evaluating things and planning ahead.

Don't envy your upcoming medical procedure. Had one two years ago and the best thing about it was when the doctor told me that I wouldn't need another for 10 years.
