Average 1400 calories a month and lose a whole whopping 2 lbs. I am just beyond fed up. The scale said 173 at my friends and back up to 176 here. I am NOT eating enough to be so heavy. I just hate days like today. All this obsession over food and diet for what?!!

your not eating enough or getting enough calories on a monthly basis you need way more to help your body lose the weight.

daily you need more.... 1400 should be what you shoot for daily. My doc watching my weightloss so it is done safely says 1400 per day not per month.

That’s why the scale is one of the worst metrics for progress. Perhaps shifting your focus can help. Focusing on something like measurements, or strength/endurance goals and body composition can be more helpful than looking at weight numbers in my opinion. How clothes fit, energy levels, progress photos are all good tools. Also, using a website like https://trendweight.com/ may also be beneficial if fluctuations are demotivating for you. Good luck, however you proceed. 😎

Today my doctor told me that I may not notice the loss as it’s visceral fat loss and insides area changing and it took a long time to get this way and it it won’t change overnight

How is your thyroxin level? ❤️

Not sure what thyroxin level is but my thyroid is normal if that’s what you mean.

Yes, that was what I was asking :) My thyroid sneaks up on me often, and affects my weight drastically.

maybe go easy for a while n allow yourself some more calories. I find sometimes if I've been particularly restrictive a bit of a splurge helps my body realize that I'm not actually starving myself and it'll release a little more.

I hear you!!! I have been strength training with cardio 1 hour 10 minutes 3x a week and 45 min cardio 3X week keeping calories below 1400 try g to keep protein intake up and fat low and ensure my carbs aren’t too high and I feel like I am getting know where. Scale is barely moving if at all over the last 3 months. Depending on the day I might be down. Pretty stagnant from POV. I also wonder if I need to up my calories and then I read and it says drop the calories. It sucks when you feel like you are going know where. Hang in there as long as it slowly moves in a downward trend you will get there even with the ups. It still makes it hard though. Hang in there!
