Today has been a really cold and rainy day. It rained hard from early morning until about 2pm. So glad to get rain and we may get more this weekend. I've been putting bird seed out on the deck all day. Just sprinkling it in front of the sliding glass door. The cats love watching all the birds. Seems like the birds are hungrier during rainy days. Last night about 4:30, just before it got dark I went to sprinkle a few more seeds out. Left the screen door open just enough for my bad, bad kitty Tony to sneak out. I was upset. I know there is no use in calling him or trying to get him to come back. He'll come back when he's good and ready. There were lots of deer for the first hour or two coming by my back fence, maybe thinking I was calling them (they like the bird food too) I don't ever like Tony to get out but especially when it's dark. He was out about 3 hours and then at 7:45 he was on the porch ready to come in. Loving me, rubbing against my ankles and purring. Forget it. I told him he missed dinner because he was a bad boy. There was plenty of dry food he could have. I caved and opened a can of food for him around 9pm.

It was too rainy to go to the store today. I roasted the rest of the yam in chip sizes and ate some of the fresh pineapple. Quarter bagel for breakfast with 2 cups of coffee. And afternoon I made a cup of hot chocolate to get additional protein from the skim milk.
