Fritzy 22's Journal, 20 Oct 22

I woke up really tired. I think it's a prescription medicine I only take once in awhile that causes these days when I am so tired I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. But I did. Made a cup of coffee and then decided I would match in water whatever I drink. So I had a 12 oz cup of coffee followed by 12 ounces of water. Then I managed to get up and dressed and out to take Bobby for a walk. Figured I could sleep the rest of the day if I wanted. My step counter showed 1500 steps before the walk (feeding pets, etc uses up lots of steps). I didn't wear good walking shoes because I thought I'd just go to the corner and back. But it's such a nice a cool morning I kept going. Actually walked up a hill that I normally avoid. Once at the top it was easy to complete a loop I like to do when I am able. I walk slow and it took at least 40 minutes. Feel so good about not giving in to lazy! Step counter was at 7500 when I got home, so a 6000 step walk.

I checked my weight history and it was 7-10 that I reached this year's low weight and I set another 15 pound goal. I was at that weight for that day only and even when eating within my plan I kept creeping up until I had gaine 5 or 6 pounds. I need to lose 2.8 pounds to get back to that low weight and then to get on with the next goal. Maybe I'll stay on the liquid diet until I reach that goal, but I'm not likely to do that for more than 72 hours.

Morticia - it seems like I always have to have an obsession. Right now it's counting steps.

A great walk! Doing great with steps and keeping your weight goals very close!👍 I have been taking a half muscle relaxer for a few weeks til my specialist appointment Monday. Makes me sleepy and tired. I know to only take a half. Be glad to hopefully figure out something.

Thanks Navywife - I walked about an additional 400-500 steps this morning. Funny how a step counter is motivating me to walk more. Several months ago I was struggling to get up one little hill about 15 minutes into the walk. I've managed it for 2 days in a row now. I just stopped stressing about it. My doctor prescribed me muscle relaxers earlier in the year for my back and all the aches and pains I whine to him about. But I think they make me dizzy so I very rarely use them prefer to take Ibuprofen for pain. Hope you appointment with the specialist goes well.

Yes, a step counter is very morivating. That’s great you got that hill in two days in a row!👍 Thank you, glad for my appointment but a little nervous. I guess a new doctor, new place and not knowing what to expect messes with my anxiety.
