This may be TMI but im slightly concerned. I haven't had a bowel movement in 2 days. I typically go at a minimum of once a day but mostly twice. Im drinking water and getting in vegetables. Im going to give it one more day. Anyone else had this experience?

How much fiber are you taking in?

Yes, that's why I had to stop Atkins, lol. I had to modify and eat fruit. Too much protein can do it to some people.

Have you tried milled flax seed? Atkins has a recipe called "muffin in a minute", that calls for it... It's filling and reasonable tasty, and helps you go :) The recipe is suitable for all phases. Coconut oil helps, too. I mix it in my coffee sometimes. Hope you find something to help!

Btw, if you haven't tried the flax seed before, make sure you get the box that says "milled". Not sure if you live in memphis, but if you do, it can be found at any Walmart. It's by the flour and cornmeal, usually on the top shelf. It'd be cool if you did live here... I've been on FatSecret a few years and have yet to meet anyone from here! I live in Millington.

Suzi....really? Oh gosh lol. Thanks Jessberry... I have flaxseed and will definitely Google that recipe. I lived in Memphis for 10 years. I was in Germantown and came very close to living in Millington. Im a country girl and loved the land out there. Thanks BWund I never knew this is a side issue of Atkins....lololol. Im actually relieved now that I know. Flaxseed and Miralax may be ome my buddies. :)

Tresmemphis thats why I asked about fiber... During dieting some people who are on Atkins or Paleo diets tend to consume less fiber. Because many of foods that contain fiber also contain more carbs then we wish to consume during a diet...Hope this helped as I also seen others have confirmed what I was getting at. Good luck and hope it gets better for you :)

I started adding coconut oil to my coffee in the morning and that does the trick for me. Every time I go low carb (Yes, there's been multiple times, don't judge me) I get constipated, once I started the coconut oil it has not been a problem.

I eat a lot of fruit and veggies and get a lot of fiber but have the same problem. My diet is very low in fat generally but I've noticed that on higher fat days things work better. Just stick to plant fats if possible. They're better for you.

I also have that issue sometimes. I take a little extra magnesium sometimes, seems to help me. Boy with all of these tips you should be going like a pro!!! LOL
