Hipaagrammy's Journal, 07 Oct 14

Happy Tuesday!

What a glorious autumn day! The trees are gorgeous in my neck of the woods. I took a 1/2 hour ride north to get my haircut and enjoyed my mini color tour. While in Reed City I had lunch with the ladies I used to work with at the doctor's office. I haven't seen them since I started this new lifestyle journey. I expected at least one of them would have noticed my 25 pound weight loss...but alas, no one noticed...boo...I'm actually really surprised. I've gone from wearing size 2X tops (22/24) to a size X (14/16) and from a size 20 pants to a size 16...maybe they were just being polite ("Wow! You're less fat!") Oh, well...I'm not doing it for their reaction...but it would have been fun...maybe next month when I see them again.

And for any of you who have been praying for my niece Jillian and her baby...Jillian had her baby boy today! He is a healthy 6 lb 11 oz & 21". The doctors allowed her to carry him to 37 weeks and took him by cesarean this morning. She will recover from the cesarean for two weeks and they will do the brain surgery on Jillian on October 21st. We continue to pray the tumor will be benign and she will have no long-term disability from it. I plan to go downstate next week to help with Jill's 2 1/2 year old and the new baby so Jill's mom (my sister) can look after Jill. Thanks to all of you who prayed so diligently for Jillian and her baby for these past 2 months!

I hope everyone feels as blessed as I do right now! Make it a great day!

I started at 192 size 16 or so. Very few people commented until I lost almost 50 pounds and wearing a size 8-10.

From my experience, most people really hesitate to ask someone if they've lost weight, because in some cases it can be extremely embarrassing. Especially if they haven't seen you for awhile. For all they know, you might even have cancer or something, or they might be imagining you as having been heavier, etc., so it's not worth the risk of asking you if you've lost weight. I'm so happy for you & your new little Grand-Niece, & am praying for your Niece's surgery to go perfectly, & for the tumor to be benign. God is faithful! :)
