No official weigh-in today because I'm not at home. GoodMan and I drove down to Grand Rapids last night for dinner and a movie, then spent the night at a hotel and plan to spend the day walking around Art Prize which is a huge art exhibition all over 5 venues around the downtown area. At 5:30 GoodMan teaches a class at the university campus downtown, and while he's teaching I'll go shopping. I'll pick him up at 9pm and we'll head home - tired, but happy!
We are told to expect an offer on the Reed City house tomorrow. Our agent says it is a woman who wants to rent it for 1/4 of what we charged the last couple. And then when she gets a cash settlement in December she plans to pay cash to buy the house. There are some obvious negatives...major risk on our part...what if she changes her mind and we have to evict and face possible expensive repairs...and some positives...a cash offer means no mortgage company worried about plaster walls and old trees (things I personally love about the house). I'm not sure how we protect ourselves in this situation...we're thinking hard.
ATF - I'm doing well with my new lifestyle...a movie right after dinner is a good way to avoid buttered popcorn. I avoided carbs at breakfast today because I know GoodMan wants to eat at an Asian restaurant at lunchtime. Although I'm not on a low carb plan, I try to keep a balance throughout the day. I'll weigh-in tomorrow and we'll see how well I did.
