Okay, so this is weird...

I've been experiencing some discomfort in my lungs, and no, I've never smoked. I had trouble with pneumonia a few years ago, and had asthma-type attacks about 15 years ago, but nothing going with that as far as I know these days.

A few weeks ago I had what I would call an asthma attack when I got around some mold. I used an inhaler, and the next day I was tired, but fine. Now, in the past few days my lungs have been sore whenever I exercise or do anything strenuous. I keep trying to figure it out, but haven't come up with anything.

Last night I dreamed I went into the kitchen and started eating...first salty food and then paused and said "nope, it's not salt that I'm missing", next I ate cupcakes - multiple cupcakes! and paused again and said to myself "nope, it's not sweets"...I don't remember the rest of the dream it was just obvious to me this morning that I was blaming how crummy my chest feels on my new lifestyle.

I know the obvious answer is to go to the doctor, and I will if it doesn't get better in the next couple of weeks. I hope it's just that I've been so out of shape and getting back into shape has its aches and pains. I just don't like going to the doctor with vague symptoms...oh, let's be honest...I don't like going to the doctor any time!

I'm off to watch my grandson play football and then watch the Michigan football game at DS#6's house...hopefully Michigan does better than they have in the past few weeks!

Have a grand weekend everyone!

I would get in to see the doc if it doesn't ease up. If you have asthma, like me, pain in your lungs when you are breathing, if not relieved by your inhaler, I've discovered can mean bronchitis or pneumonia even if you otherwise feel ok. Earlier this year I went in with just feeling very tired and it hurt to breathe it was pneumonia, no fever, no unusual coughing, just pain. My doc says get in to see me asap. The front desk has orders on my chart to get me in the same day no matter what. The mold and pollen count here in Independence has been really high as well. Living on allergy and asthma drugs, hate to but needed to breathe.
