Fritzy 22's Journal, 15 Nov 21

I'm getting so tired of not losing any weight. I started "over" on the first and lost 2 pounds the first week, but since then I am going back and forth from .20 pound to .80 pounds. So I gave in today and had a frozen pizza. I keep things like this in the freezer in the garage, just to have. Also have some chicken pot pies and Stouffers lasagna, single serving size. It's 750 calories for the whole pizza. And I ate it all and added some shredded cheese to it. Actually, if I knew I was going to have pizza it would have been better to order one. But it's done. It's the only thing I ate today except for string cheese. This morning got away from me so I only had my usual 2 mugs of coffee. I do put sugar and half & half in the coffee but still am well within my allowable calories and the protein will be sufficient with the milk I will drink later

Kat - That's what I thought! I still needed to add some extra cheese to get up to 40 grams for the day. I just had a cup of hot chocolate with milk so my total calories are just under 1300. I would think I would be okay. I don't do Keto or worry too much about carbs, just calories although ideally healthy calories would be better.

If you got a vegan protein mix that you could make warm/hot, you could up the protein in your hot chocolate. You just can’t use one with egg whites for the protein as they’ll curdle. Just a thought. Better than more cheese 🧀

Thanks Katsolo - I buy bags of shredded cheese and actually measure out 2 tablespoons or 1/4 cup which is 4 tablespoons to keep the calories low. I used to buy some protein shakes and other various items to add to the protein. It's funny, but I'll listen to my doctor for some of the things he says when he tells me to avoid or eliminate processed foods. I asked him if it were better to eat processed meat or protein powder and he said not to eat neither. For the most part I don't eat processed meats - except when I have the occasional pizza or bacon bits. But dairy seems to be my main source of protein, including cheese although not too much cheese.

Hang in there. I am working on a sustainable lifestyle, focusing on hunger and macros. So far I have figured out that I need to get to the bottom of why I am not cooperating with myself and following a program that I paid for. I also don't exercise much but I am hoping to change that.
