Am I in denial? I increased my calories as trainers recommended. I doubled up my workouts as friends recommended going from 3 hrs to 6.5 hrs a week. My iron level has plummetted to the point where I cannot donate blood. My measurements are the same as when I was 6 lbs ago. How did I gain over 4 lbs in 5 days? Frustrating as heck!

Well if you have recently increased your workouts, your muscles retain water to help them heal. This can show on the scale as a temporary gain, no loss or smaller than usual loss. It will go away. Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight. You need to find a balance in your diet and exercise. Listen to you body and yourself. If you feel tired, then cut down on the exercise. Play around with calories to see what works for you. Be proactive and find as much as you can about nutrition and fitness. Eat those power foods to help with fat loss. There's a lot of contradicting info out there. You have to sort through it and see what works for you.

Thanks for the advice! I skipped out on my second workout yesterday, ate carbs and dropped 1.4 lbs. Go figure!
