Welcome to Motivational Monday! Today, I am smiling, calm and reflective. Feeling blessed.

Had a lovely telephone call with my sister today and I am basking in the glow of actual human conversation LOL. She sent me a pic of our house that she saw on the weekend. I thought of childhood, remembering all those labels I allowed to carry thru to adulthood. To me NOW. Why hang onto negative moments of the past? I like who I am. I'm gonna celebrate ME all week! How do you celebrate YOU??? Join me in celebrating!!!!

Wishing you a successful week appreciating YOU! Celebrate!

💟See ya for Walking on Wednesdays (& Summer Challenge) and Friday Weigh-In/Weekly Update!

I love this post! How come we always seem so willing to accept the heavy and useless burdens (like negative labels)that others so often so thoughtlessly - and sometimes deliberately 😠 - foist off on us without even thinking? If it was a glass of poison we would quickly figure out a way to say No Thank You. This is just as bad!

Sooo true! I can’t remember where I heard it, but I remember hearing someone say, imagine talking to your best friend the way you talk to yourself- for most of us, that idea is horrifying, because the way we talk to ourselves is so hurtful. So why is it ok to tell ourselves? That’s something that has stuck with me- would I say these words to someone else? Or would I be kinder and more constructive? It helps to reframe the internal dialogue in my head (doesn’t always work but we are works in progress right 😊).

I love this so much. I might just print it and frame it so that my grandkids see it often.

Smart words and great advice. We are usually too harsh on ourselves, and don't give ourselves enough credit. We also forget God's unending grace and lose faith at times. Let's be kinder to ourselves!!!
