Having trouble lately. it seems I start out very food conscious but towards the end of the day every thing goes to pot. I am going to be very food conscious before I do some real damage. It seems like there has been one party right after another and I seem to be a slave to cake and desserts. I start out telling myself I'm not going to have any, but when I get there I go ahead and put it on my plate anyway. What's wrong with me?

I have the same problem...I think I keep telling myself 'I'll do better tomorrow!' We have to work on our will power! I often thought a once a week 'sweet' reward system would help but it starts the sweet cravings back up again so I am incorporating the Adkins diet into my weight loss plan. It seems to help with the sweet cravings. Btw....YOU CAN DO IT!!! Good luck! =]

My excuse for not eating cake and desserts was that I am diabetic, so people would not push me to eat it. Now that my blood sugar is controlled by my diet and I got off the diabetic pills, there is no excuse. I don't know what I will do.

Keeping cinnamon gum or mints handy (or even travel-size mouthwash) keeps my food desires at bay. N-o-t-h-i-n-g tastes good after having those flavors rolling around in your mouth...
