🙋‍♀️Welcome to Motivational Monday! It's a gorgeous summer day here in Calgary! I noticed several picnics happening in the park yesterday. I haven't been on a picnic in a year, so I think it's time to dig out the cooler bag! Also, a friend dropped off a surprise gift today that included some fresh, still warm from the bakery, soft pretzels & sourdough bread! Mmmmm delish! Threw off my day's food plan but hey! I rarely see people so today was special :)

What's in your cooler bag? What do you take on picnics? I really like those overnight sandwiches wrapped in plastic, that have marinated and are very flavourful - Italian style? Some fruit, sparkling waters, bit of cheese, I seem to choose healthy foods for a picnic. Any picnic suggestions?

Not really a motivational post today, just hoping you are getting outside and enjoying summer! This is IT, folks! What we waited for alllllllll that looooong winter LOL.

Oh I so love picnics! I usually pack a simple sandwich - sliced ham or turkey on whole grain bread with lettuce. Container of veggies - cucumber wedges, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers, a fruit - depending on what is in season at the time and top it with a low calorie sweet snack. A can of sparkling water to drink and we’re ready to go! Meet ya at the park. Lol
