Ok.! Never go shopping when you're hungry! Went to the "Jim" for my exercise class, then shopping for groceries. Everything looked so good, especially those peanuts. By the time I got home I was starving and those peanuts were still calling my name. I resisted by having some healthy soup. By now it was mid afternoon. That wasn't enough though. Those peanuts kept calling my name...so before I know it, I must have gobbled down at least a cup and probably more. Oh dear, oh dear oh dear...and it's snowing again in this crazy climate of ours...the coldest winter on record in 116 years. Depressing. Too miserable to walk out side or to think about gardening so I eat peanuts instead. Yes. The answer to all my weather woes and cravings. So, my daughter and I had a good laugh at some of the crazy cartoons people post about their weight issues. Then my son, out of the blue, suggested we move to Texas where my hubby has been for the last two weeks. In the grand scheme of things A few peanuts won't derail me. I actually picked them out very carefully...unsalted, high in protein with some carbs of course. But, I'm still under my RDI for the day. (So far). But after A couple of peanuts and some great moments with my kids, I'm back on track again, at least for the time being. I want to throw the rest of those peanuts out, but I may just save them for another snowy day here in Central Canada. Go figure. FOUND A PEANUT, FOUND A PEANUT, FOUND A PEANUT LAST NIGHT, LAST NIGHT I FOUND A PEANUT, FOUND A PEANUT LAST NIGHT. ..... Have a great weekend everyone.

You're right - it's not a deal breaker and you have some great memories with the peanuts. Almonds are good and good for you and I find pistachios in the shell slow me down a bit to give my brain a chance to catch up with my mouth on the craving vs satisfied connection.

South Central Texas is great..... In the spring and fall. Winter weather is cold but not horribly so. Summer, on the other hand, is a great time of year.....to be somewhere else. Lol

I know it terrible to shopping while hungry! It is like an open door to the stomach and I find I buy all kinds of things I would eat on the spot and not nearly enough of what I was needing or intending to get! Soup is a good plan if you want to curb the hunger though. its mostly water and it holds you a while longer as it takes a bit for your gut to decide what to do with it. I feel for you once you get ravenous it hard to hold back!
