Gotta move it to lose it! Started Walk at Home with Leslie Sansone (1-mile). It's cardio but low-impact and I was sweating by the warm-up. There are 2-mile and 3-mile in-the-home programs as well. Love, love, love her gentle tone...no berating here. I highly recommend, Ms. Leslie and will be doing this twice daily until my body is ready to move to the next level.

LuC2, I'm new here. How do you know so precisely how many calories you eat and burn? And what about the fat, protein and carb amounts?

Based on your height/weight, FatSecret calculates the amount of kcal you burn at a resting state and in various types of activities (FITNESS tab). As for the Fitness log and the food log, I am pretty meticulous about putting in the data -- it's the only way I truly know what I'm putting in my mouth (and hips). I usually put my meals in the FOODS log by name/brand and if my brand is not there, I add it (underneath the input dropbox). I also added recipes to my personal COOKBOOK in this database, which calculates the fat/cal/etc of your recipes. That way, I can scroll to cookbook and add those items to my meals. When I lost weight some 20 yrs ago (before children), I used pencil and pad to log and calculate but FatSecret is SO much simpler!
