I am anxious to begin walking for exercise again so I put the orthotics in my shoes and walked 2.5 miles today. My left foot is still sore, but I took my time walking at 22 minutes a mile. I'm hoping the easier pace will allow me to meet my challenge of 10 miles a week. I have 8.75 as of today. If the foot doesn't hurt tomorrow I can do the other mile and a quarter. Sometimes my mind is ready to push ahead before my body is. Got to take care of the foot because it holds the rest of me up. So easy does it is how it will be. J

I know how that goes! I have spinal issues that make my left leg and foot act up. I love to walk and I have to stop at 1.5 miles because of my foot. What a great challenge for you to participate in. Keep up the good work and keep listening to your body.

Great job on the mileage, we should all take our guidance from you, just look at your weight history, it shows a steady downward trend. You are doing great. Keep up the good work.

That's great you're walking. I can't wait to get out there and do the same. Minnesota is frozen solid and its so darned cold. I, too, have problems with my foot. It's my toe actually; doc says its a bunion ... I have my doubts that's what it is -- IT FEELS BROKEN! LOL Yes it was x-rayed. I guess I just don't have much trust in doctors. Anyway, keep up the good work, and take care of your foot. Oh, and have a great day!
