Brilliant - that even worked for me!! Now it is asking if I want to switch to FS Canada - I wonder does this mean I will lose buddies/stuff....think I'll leave that choice for another day.... 

Yeah Canada… spoken from a true, dedicated cheerleader… even after the Olympic hockey matches! xoxox 

Tracy - Great! Got to check into your questions. One good thing - I wasn't required to renounce my US Citizenship. 

Ruth - We can't win them all - LOL.  

lol Buffy - yes they all seem a friendly bunch....we have some lovely Canadians in our buddy group - I think FS is doing wonders for blowing up the inbred stereotyping that we all seem to have been brought up with....it should be no surprise that we are all just humans struggling with the same issues, regardless of where in this tiny ball we are positioned :) 

Tracy - Hate to tell you this but I think the "inbred stereotyping" must be an English thing. Here the inbred jokes refer to certain States. But there is always something!  

Yeah for us Canadians. As far as I know I'm on the Canadian site and I would assume you get to keep your buddies. - at least I hope so....just in case you know where to find us! 

Buffy - don't even get started - here in the UK you are classed as foreign if you cross town borders. We were discussing this on Pam's journal awhile back - people even get abuse for having red hair here!!! The world has just gone mad! I seek people who are like me inside and if they happen to be green with purple spots, then I will embrace their brightness with the respect that it deserves :) 

Loving this thread. It is cracking me up. In my neck-of-the-woods, the only bad place to be from is California! Pacific Northwesterners get frustrated with the wealthy, plastic, silly Californians that come buy land in flood plains and then wonder why their houses flood. Otherwise, we are an accepting bunch. I'm so glad to hear that you fixed your "technical" problems, BuffyBear.

Wow Buffy...I think you started something...LOL...But I'm with Tracy...we are all really the same no matter what color, shape, or from where we come from...just so glad we all can get along..Now wouldn't be nice if all the world thought the way we do???...

Gilliansings - Can't tell you how excited I am. I need a good challenge now and then. BTW - My son lives in California! But last I knew he was too broke to buy any land anywhere!

I'm THRILLED to have discovered this little workaround. The only thing the Canadian site doesn't do is give me a quick link to My Notifications. So I go on the Canadian site to update my wight and my Journal, but then I go back to the US site for the rest of the day's activities. Changing sites won't make you lose any buddies according my research. I may experiment and let you know what my guinea pig efforts reveal!  

Rocky - and let's hope they all have a good sense of humor.

Buffy, without knowing it, you've had a Canadian Buddy for quite some time now. Guess who? If you guessed, your long-time buddy, ShyGuy, you'd be right. Well, actually, I'm only half Canadian, and I can get my Canadian passport just by filling out the appropriate paperwork. The actual details are irrelevant, for now, but it's true. I also loved the fact that it didn't really matter to me, during the Olympics, who got the gold in hockey. As a dual citizen, I was smiling no matter who won. :-)
