sigh, I lost three perfectly good ones from the week where I wasn't eating my normal food. haven't bought new ones and my favorite neighbor has moved away. he's the one who used to give them to me.

I had at least 60 that I gave away. My friend with the avocado tree had it pruned about a week ago and just from the cut branches we picked up about 400 and that was only half the tree. I ate my last one tonight and now we start over. I make chocolate avocado pudding and some granola bars made with them— recipe from the site I posted. I also have tons of kumquats ( I made jelly out of most of them.) oranges, grapefruit, Myer lemons , limes. We gave a lot to a food bank, and I even gave a bunch to some people who were parked next to me at Walmart. It all comes in at once.

Wow that’s amazing! Thank you so much for the website for recipes! I love avocados and I’m always looking for new things to do with them.

Just Google avocado recipes and dozens will come up. Some people even can them.

Love avocados!! We have an avocado tree way in the back by the horse stall. I’ll have to start taking care of it. It never grew straight up it lays down on the ground and gives us about 4 to 8 avocados a year, pitiful is like a Charlie brown avocado tree.😄 Happy Wednesday!!🌺

Oh my gosh, I'm so jealous of everyone's avocado trees. 😆 They're one of my all time favorite foods!

She— loves ——we all are always on a hunt for recipes and I have found some great ones. I really like chocolate avocado malts/ice cream and I made a protein bar with avocado in it— it was also good. But man, I don’t care whether they are good fat or not they are calorie dense so that has to be taken into consideration. Last year and This year was easy- we all took bunches of avocados and gave them to everyone we knew and the food banks were happy to take a bunch. All in all there were probably 600. And they are monstrous in size. There are still lots on the tree to come. Same thing with citrus fruit. People have just stopped picking them., or they put them in boxes on the driveway with a free sign on them. Even the massive amounts of homeless people around here are sick of avocados and citrus.

They are very calorie dense, that's true. Easy to forget when they're green and eaten straight from the tree. 😁 That's hilarious that so many folks are so tired of avocado and citrus!! I'd be very happy to see both of those things fresh off a tree right now. 😂

Avocados don’t ripen until you take them off the tree so in a normal year when my friend doesn’t have to trim the tree it’s not so bad but all of these were just on the branches that were cut off the tree so they ripened all at one time.
