Welcome to Motivational Monday! I binged last night on 10 Special K protein bars (2.5 boxes, 1700 calories). I had two along with regular meals; all was well until I worked on a hobby & got excited about visualizing completing my goals for this year. Success makes me uncomfortable because I am well-acquainted with failure! This is my self-sabatoge trigger. Adopting a healthy lifestyle sure can be complex!

I decided to sleep in (I am grateful for that luxury), then went for a 20 minute walk in -22C windchill. I ate some fruit and decided on my meal for dinner. I forgive myself for the binge transgression: I am worthy of success! I will accomplish my goals. I am moving forward.

How do you handle recovery from a binge?

A walk with a frigid windchill definitely shows you have moved forward. Good job on getting back on track. Plus recognizing the whys.

Excellent job recognizing the binge, the why of it and getting back on track. I don’t have a super healthy way to deal :( I feel regret, self loathing... I’m not very nice to myself. But. We should be forgiving... besides that self loathing really just perpetuates it. If you feel rather forgiveness and understanding, it’s much easier to get back on track.
