Today I was simply ready to quit my job because of how awful it was driving in to work. It took me 1 hour and a 1/2 to drive to work in what usually takes just 35 to 40 minutes. Not fun at all. There were lots of cars on snow banks and traffic jams due to stalled cars or accidents. What a mess this Polar Vortex is causing. At least I don't have to fly anywhere because the airports are even worse. I was pleased however with the discipline and success I've had this past week. I think I've lost most of my holiday weight and now need to get rid of all the weight I gained in the past 2 years. This will be much harder. My family is really supportive. My daughter is taking a course on nutrition this term and comes home with all these food facts and details. She is continually reminding us of what we put into our mouths. It's actually helpful, but can be annoying. She does however practise what she preaches and she is quite fit. I am procrastinating going onto the treadmill but I guess I should get going...for 2 reasons...,1. weight loss and 2. Fitness.

I've been reading a bit about the fitbit and am curious about what this does and it's benefits. Sounds interesting.
