That is very interesting. I hope that some in the media will pick up on that and use it. Our stupid food pyramid is simply wrong. It should also be noted that the obesity rate and use of artificial sweetners are correlated. As any reasearcher knows, a correlation does not prove causeality but it darn sure makes you think doesn't it??

I have thrown out tubs of those processed spreads that my dad buys and purchased and replaced them with olive oil, butter and sometimes coconut oil. I may take a break from my non-fat plain greek yogurt phase and try lowfat or full fat and see what happens. Yes, this is an interesting article to get you thinking. We all need to start thinking about the processed crap they try to pass as healthy alternatives.

Really interesting article. I use butter now, and coconut oil to cook with. I have gotten rid of the shortening and vegetable oil. I LOVE red meat, and I haven't watched my fats at all. I never did limit them!! I have started to get rid of the processed stuff, and if the label has an ingredient that I can't pronounce, it goes back on the shelf.

There are days when I wonder what would happen if all the folks of my generation filed class action suits against the people that advised us to go FAT Free, low fat, blah blah so many years only to fail over and over losing weight. I have so EMBRACED FAT this time around on my weight loss and I don't think I'll completely reverse the damage I've done to myself over the past 30 years doing otherwise I'm just happy I can look forward to trying to maintain my health and not miss out on foods because of fat content. Thanks for the article.
