BuffyBear's Journal, 21 Sep 13

Happy to see that yesterday's lost pound held for today's weigh in. My "Weigh Less by Oktoberfest" program won't have the success I envisioned but at least it won't be a total bust either.

Keeping carbs under check is easy for me - it has become a way of life. But dropping calories down to 1225/day is difficult.

I've said this before and I'll say it again - HOW BAD DO I WANT THIS?

To be continued . . .

Bren - Yes - anything is better than gaining! And thank you - this is nice little mall close by but I never seem to get there by myself. Maybe the shopping will keep my mind off the eating - LOL.

Congrats on the pound. clap clap clap clap I sympathize. It's a bugger. The only thing I think that keeps me on track is that I'm learning to eat properly and healthily. Is that a word??? That's what I keep telling myself. Not doing a very good job of convincing myself, but it's kept me sort of in line.

Ruth - You were able to do this - with more sacrifices than I'm making. Guess it is good to be prepared that more hard work is to come. Nothing good comes easy.

ClassicRocker - Much appreciated! BTW - 30 years ago who would have thought we'd be so excited about 1 pound?

"How bad do I want this?" Wow....that is the $64,000 question, now isn't it. It's different at 162 than it is at 186. Maybe it shouldn't be, but it sure seems to be the case, at least for me. Enjoy the shopping trip....that's where I should go in the midst of all this rain.

One lb. 30 years ago was...meh, I can get rid of it in a day. Now, it's (#&$)*$ (%&&)#_+ pound. Can't lose it.

Sandy - So right - it shouldn't be different. But better to face the truth than to hide from it.
