🌅Welcome to Motivational Monday! If the plan doesn't work, change the plan. In the past, if I didn't get magical results in a short period of time, I gave up.I followed what others were doing and if I didn't lose as quickly as them, I felt like a failure, followed by lots of junk food.

There is no one "right" or only way to health. This is YOUR body with your unique set of chemicals, muscles, hormones and exact health issues. Find your way. I haven't "officially" lost weight this year (YET) but I keep trying. I struggled to keep focused on basic nutrition and my mental health. I am happy, bit active and so so thrilled I feel pretty healthy! 🙌I will succeed. Give yourself a big hug and love that body! You only get one.

Have a fantastically successful week! Hugs to everyone! 💗

I'm in there with ya. Last year I lost about 20lbs through calorie restriction alone but here I am a year later with my 20lbs back on. A couple months ago I switched to a mostly vegan diet (both because I wanted to get my cholesterol levels in check, and because I've always felt guilty about the poor little fuzzy creatures who live horrible lives just so I can stuff them in my greedy face.) 😒 Sooo I guess I've learned enough about plant protein that I'm getting enough in to keep me from feeling like I'm going to pass out if I don't eat a hamburger, 🍔 cuz it's been 2 months and I'm feeling good. (I have had the odd piece of meat but only on special occasions when it's a group celebration.. which translates to maybe twice a month.) Ya gotta figure out what works for you and what doesn't.. and sometimes the things that work are just so foreign to what you're used to that it takes a while to get good at the new habits. I think the important part is to just keep working at it until you find a good fit for you. I figure as long as we are pushing ourselves outside of that comfort zone, just a little at a time, then something is bound to work eventually. It's all about the journey. 😉

This is so true! I myself have had to make several adjustments during this process!
