The kids all earned good grades so we surprised them with KFC tonight after the gym. Since I had a heavy protein packed lunch and went to the gym I could afford the calories for it too.

I wasn’t supposed to do upper body workouts but there’s only so much you can do on two hip machines and the leg press. Managed to do 200# on the leg press for legs and calves. We haven’t done lower body workouts in months because of hubby’s knee. Did some bench work and got 95# for incline and flat bench. Had to lower the weights by 10# for one hip machine and flys 😣. Threw in some leg lifts to get to my minimum 200 kcal burned. Lifting for upper body doesn’t hurt (except deadlifts and ab work). It hurts to lay down and get up, but I have to do that at home all the time so I just changed from the recliner to a bench 🤫.

Got our results from the covid antibody test and it was negative. Now I’m debating on being more careful or keep doing as I have been.

Just wondering where you live that have gyms that are open. I don't think I'll feel safe going to the gym even if they do open. I think they will be one of the last places that open in California. I do miss it though.

I live in Oklahoma. Our county has 21 covid cases and one death. Since opening we went from 18 to 21 I think. We were only adding 2-4 cases a week before phase 1 of opening. Phase two started yesterday with bars, funerals, weddings and more things being allowed to open. Still supposed to wash hands, sanitize carts, social distance etc. Masks are optional but they were never mandatory here. All doctors offices are requiring masks and some are doing temp checks. The shutdown was never supposed to last long. Only used to flatten the curve so we didn’t overwhelm health care facilities. From what I understand from local health care professionals is that we will likely all get it at some point. They just hope to have better care and ways to cope when cases pick up here. Our phase 3, opening everything, begins June 1st. Oklahoma has been lucky as in we haven’t been hit that hard. Not many tourist areas, have to drive hours for anything fun (other than skating, movies or bowling- things like malls, fine dining and sports facilities are 90 minutes from me). The closest “big” town, 50k-60k, to me has the only Walmart within an hour. Lots of people coming in to shop there from surrounding counties on the weekends so I’m avoiding it if at all possible!

Chris, I had to drop it to 150 and struggled to get it moving. Then hubby said if I started on 3 rather than 2 so that my feet were a couple inches farther from me it would probably be easier. Did that and went back to 200 :). I was doing that routinely when we stopped because of hubby’s knee sometime in January or February. I can’t remember what my max was but I plan to check that out soon. I’d bet you could do 200+. Get to doing some squats to build those legs back up! 😉

My county sounds similar. 41 confirmed cases, 40 have recovered and there was one death at the very beginning of this. No active cases. And the county is big and rural. Only 12 cases in the West county, which is where I live all the others in the eastern part of the county including death one who died. No new cases anywhere in the county since 4/28. So you'd think I'd feel good about going out. But not yet. I did go pick up a pizza last week. I wore a mask, and there was a lady coming out with an order when I got there. She had a mask on and so did the owner, he also had on gloves. Then when I left the next customer also wore a mask. So everyone here is pretty cautious still. But there are very many retirees here so I think we worry more than younger people. I've also heard that once 60-70% of us have been exposed to the virus there will be some kind of "herd" immunity. I would like to avoid being exposed until there is some kind of treatment beside just stay at home until you are sick enough to be hospitalized.

I just checked since I hadn’t in a couple days. We now have 22 cases, 1 death and 14 have recovered so 7 still sick. I’m a worrier generally. This doesn’t bother me too much but the negative results when I was sure it would be positive has be worrying a bit more. We let one kiddo go on a sleepover last night. She’s really good about hand washing and sanitizing or I wouldn’t have let her go. The hubby isn’t worried at all so we balance each other out and meet in the middle. I’d told them they could see one friend when our county started reopening. I made them wait an extra 2 weeks to see how things went. We will now wait another two weeks before my oldest can see a friend. I have a feeling I’ll be this way all summer. We are usually busy with farming, work, etc that they only each see a friend or two every month so it won’t be that different I think. Hubby still has to go see customers in all this so he’s the most likely to be exposed.

Awww. Yes it gets frustrating. Some days I only see posts in other languages. I love A1. Not something I eat often but I try to have it a couple times a month.

Same thing peeper Jen!! I posted about that a few months ago. I was in a whole new world of FS and didn’t see a thing barely from anyone.
