Day 45

I went to the wedding in New York City - it was on the corner of Avenue C and 9th Street, for those of you who know The City - there is a little park there and the wedding was under tents and in a gazebo right in Manhattan! Pretty cool, actually. The hotel with my sister was good - in Chinatown but new and clean. We ended up taking care of the groom's little sister who got too "happy" to take the train to Connecticut at 1 in the morning - sadly my daughters didn't go to the wedding, but it meant I had an extra bed for the half-sister to recover in.

All my family was there - it was great - not too many people got sloppy drunk and we took good care of the three who did. I think my sister took some pictures - I will see if I can get one to post here of my and some of my siblings.

Ate ok, didn't drink much - hanging in there! Looks like my contractor stopped by over the weekend to measure things and I will get some doors soon! Roommate moves in October 18 so I have a little time to get organized, and my cleaning ladies said they would help me move furniture and stuff out of our common areas so I will start that tomorrow.

Body pump tonight, and walk with my neighbor this afternoon.

So much going on with me! I was joking with my sister that it's like I am in the witness protection program! New life in so many ways!

I joined the "try something new challenge" and I am going to start early - tonight, instead of steak and baked potato at my Tuesday night out, I am going to have grilled shrimp and salad. And no butter on the bread.

My party is shaping up! Lots of people rsvp'd so it looks like I have about 75 people coming. Many cousins! I am not sure about my dress - I will have to try it on, probably won't use the long train part but will go with the pink skirt I wore in June to the other party - it's already sewn so I just have to put it on and go! Maybe I'll get a hat to match.

Still working nights but the end is in sight. Also, my therapist says that I should not worry about my coworker hitting on me - she says I will just have to expect that sort of thing from now on, since I am officially single! Sort of an odd way of saying "don't take it personally that he is attracted to you!" lol!
