First day of July going well so far! DH is working out of town again so dinner will be very simple - just a turkey burger and some veggies.

Bren - After I got through cooking my dinner he called and said he was coming home so I had to cook again for him and stepson. Oh well ...

I need an easy dinner tonight too. Maybe some Kitchen Sink soup that is thawing. Enjoy your alone time!

New month, easy dinner, nice weather is all we need, no rain for a week maybe? your garden must be doing well..

Neptune - Is that the same thing as "stone soup"? Kind of sounds like what I had for dinner tonight.

Lizzy - Yes, my garden loves the rain! Me, not so much.

Buffy I got the Kitchen Sink soup recipe from "Mark's Daily Apple" recipes. I changed the spices because DH doesn't like the cinnamon/autumny spices so I use Italian style spices. It is absolutely wonderful and it is in my cookbook here too. Change it anyway you want but the can of pumpkin and can of fire roasted tomatoes really make it special. I also use rotisserie chicken.

Well Chef Buffy, hope your DH and SS appreciated your efforts. Looks like we're both in that great big rain band on the map. The only way to look on the bright side is to use a really big, colorful umbrella!
