A great video on why fast weight loss is a great way to set yourself up for weight regain. Muscle loss is an accurate predictor of weight regain. A study was performed reference hunger. 2 groups were fed the same meal after equal weight loss, the individuals who lost more muscle mass reported being hungrier than the group who lost less.

"These results suggest that minimizing the loss of fat-free mass may help dieters prevent weight regain after the diet. Then you have people on here who advise, don't do resistance training it will slow your weight loss. That's the last thing you want to do. Or people employing huge deficits. That may work for a very small percentage of people long term. Most will rebound.

And if that happens to someone like you who doesn't have a huge appetite, imagine an ordinary dieter. You see it all the time on here. People going hard with huge losses then coming back after disappearing for months at starting weight or even higher. It doesn't help that some regulars do it and others try to emulate them. Everyone wants instant satisfaction.

When folks ask me now about weight loss I tell them to not diet but to change their way of eating for life. When thought of as a marathon, you're less likely to need to sprint and lose muscle mass along the way. Baby steps are way better than huge sweeping changes.
