Glad I no longer feel this way. This was a Facebook memory from a few years back when I struggled every day for a long as I could, eating food that was barely tolerable until my next binge on the good stuff. Everything in moderation. 😍

A sustainable moderate diet with a calorie deficit 👌 Lol say that 10 x fast... and I don’t mean “that”

There's a lady in my office that this reminds me of...I try to encourage her to eat/think differently bc TASTE IS EVERYTHING! Besides, I've learned from happy, smart people who share their personal experiences and success stories🤙

There are some who say just think of food as fuel and nothing else. Booo to those people, lol! Food is one of the joys of life, it's nice that we can enjoy it while reaching our goals.

It did suck, Wifey. I was like that for 10 years. That's why I'm against restrictive diets. I can't help it now. Haha

I’ve always enjoyed food. Have learned to never restrict because the second I think, ‘I can’t have THAT’ it’s what I want. I’ve learned I can have anything I want, count it, and move On. Why is food such an enemy to people?? It’s a basic necessity in life. I think it’s a very flawed part of the western culture, good food, bad food. Awful. All food is good to me, if I like it, I’m eatin it! 😜

I didn't figure it out until a year ago and I still struggle with those feelings a little. It's a hard habit to break.

I remember those days too. I hated giving up on foods I loved but end results paid off and now I crave all the good foods.. You have come a long way, DP! I love seeing all your pics that show your progress..💖💪

Thanks Diana. Glad you love your WOE. I never got to the point of craving the food I was forcing on myself. It just got me obsessed with not having what I wanted. I still eat "healthy" stuff but knowing I don't HAVE to and am choosing to do so and can balance it with a forbidden bagel and cream cheese makes it all wonderful now. Much more enjoyable. 💕

I don't believe in forbidden foods, I eat everything. For me it's about planning and timing and portions (usually, sometimes all that goes out the window).

If you like healthy foods like vegetables & lean protein you can always find ways to prepare them where they taste good. Higher calorie foods can be incorporated into your daily diet served in moderation or as treats. If I'm planning a meal with a higher calorie food I add lower calorie sides. Occasionally I eat whatever I desire but try not to overdo it.
