What would you suggest for something QUICK & EASY, napkin finger foods, that can withstand not being heated or refrigerated for about 5 hours? I know I could google or search the internet for this - but I'm interested in what y'all would recommend.
I'm setting up a refreshment table for a (friend's) retail shopping venue. Very small store, very casual event this Saturday. They aren't normally open Saturday - this is a holiday retail advertising (snack & shop) type thing. No wine this time so I'm going to set up a Keurig with a variety of choices between tea & coffee and all that goes with that and a bucket of bottled water.
I don't know who to expect or even how many. I'm conservatively estimating 15-20 max because it's not a highly advertised event. I could repeat some of the things that I did at the last hosting because I don't expect the same people.
Keep in mind the best thing I make is reservations.. haha. I'm may even wimp out & go for bakery cookies if I don't find my inspired motivation soon.

Most foods will hold for four hours including mayonnaise. The information you get online says two hours maximum. They always way underestimate food safety standards. I would stick with food items that hold their color and texture. You've been given lots of great ideas. Presentation actually the most important. When my sister-in-law and I used to cater, we would use varying heights under the tablecloths. Sanitation is also a consideration. Toothpicks, scoops in nuts, etc. Keep it simple and focus on the eye appeal. You've got this!

My go to Potluck dish is Sister Schubert's sausage wrap rolls. They're not the healthiest, but they can tolerate sitting out for at least 4 hours in my experience and all get eaten.

They come in a dish about the size of a pie and there are about 15 sausages per tray (like mini pigs in a blanket)

All of the above suggestions are great so I don't have any ideas to offer... but you were thinking about small disposable cups and a light bulb went off. I always have mini solo disposable shot glasses at my bar so I googled to see if they come in holiday colors for your event. Here's a link! They come in red, gold, silver and green! https://www.amazon.com/Goodtimes-Disposable-Plastic-Christmas-condiments/dp/B01M3WN0K0/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=holiday+plastic+shot+glass&qid=1575592388&s=home-garden&sr=1-1

1) If I had time and expected a real crowd, I'd fly all of you in to help cater! Great suggestions. Thank you! 2) Angel - thank you for the link. I don't have time 'now' to get those before Saturday but I've saved it in my shopping list.

I'm always creating my own personal challenges, huh? For a person who doesn't really have the 'hostess' gene I'm going out of my way to do something special and memorable.

No fruit? Strawberries, grapes, pineapple
Put a spoonful of dip or hummus in those shot glasses and stand a few carrot sticks , celery stalks, daikon radish sticks in it

Deer jerky. Not a Deer John letter btw.....holds up under extreme conditions. Texas Mule Deer maybe? Just spitballing....unless of course you have Vegans or Vegetarians stopping in...then no bueno. . . .

Okay, for anyone just 'dying' to know the final decision: instead of making this a special Saturday event the store is setting up a hospitality bar for every day - at least thru the end of this month. So the 'snacks' are going to be those 'fun packs' of cookies/chips/nuts, etc. I like that idea (because it was my idea, hahaha) and will be easier to maintain daily and cleanup.

There will still be an option to use some of your wonderful ideas if the mood strikes & I feel creative enough to put something extra together. Meanwhile, do not feel your suggestions were in vain because I'm likely hosting Blondie's birthday party in a couple of weeks so I needed ideas other than chili... done that..
