Fat and carbohydrate overfeeding in humans: different effects on energy storage.

"Carbohydrate overfeeding produced progressive increases in carbohydrate oxidation and total energy expenditure resulting in 75-85% of excess energy being stored. Alternatively, fat overfeeding had minimal effects on fat oxidation and total energy expenditure, leading to storage of 90-95% of excess energy. Excess dietary fat leads to greater fat accumulation than does excess dietary carbohydrate, and the difference was greatest early in the overfeeding period."

A case for splurging on cereal and skim milk over cake. Most people binge on fat+carbs though, so this won't help many.

My last food group before sheep counting time was "Whoopie Pie" which was actually a plural version. Slept like a baby. No weight gain but plenty of sugar and fat. No Proteins were injured during the whoopie pie consumption. That is all.

I have no interest in watching people eat. I'll never understand those videos. So gross to me. I've never seen her.

So, going by this, keto should only be used for losing fat if at all(I say never). When in maintenance, some days you're in a slight surplus and vice versa, the days you're in a surplus, you would have a higher chance of gaining more fat and losing more muscle with a high fat intake. I had to bump this and this is the best way to go about it. Another stab at keto. :D
