Well, I didn't lose in September or October but at least I have maintained the 8 lb. loss I had from March to August. I've been tracking and learning these past few weeks and I believe I have finally figured out the right amount of calories for me to eat to consistently lose. One thing I've underestimated is how many little treats I eat mindlessly. Last night I busted into the Halloween candy. At first, I wasn't going to log it, but I'm glad I did. 400ish calories of only mediocre enjoyment, not worth it, but very informative. This will allow me to make better choices going forward. I am using this information to empower myself rather than getting frustrated by the lack of progress in recent months. In the past, I would have just given up, but now I have my mind in the right place. I'm realistic about the upcoming holiday season. I will consider it sufficient to maintain, a victory to lose, and no big deal if there's a small gain.
