Thank you all for the encouragement!
So after complaining and getting a lot of support, I made a pact with my secretary for November: we are calling it No-bread November! So, no wheat bread, rice, potatoes, breaded fried food, croutons, cornbread, corn. We are allowing sweet potatoes, but not fried.

Also, I have my annual physical coming up and I will talk the doctor about thyroid and also a bone/fat density test. I might be old enough to qualify.

I have been lifting weights, but not enough to mean that I have been building muscle that would affect my weight.

Planning ahead for date night Friday: cauliflower rice instead of regular, no bread for me but some for my guest. I will be making some butternut squash appetizers. Will also drink some alcohol but will measure it carefully and mix it with soda water. My friend likes mineral water with lemonade so we'll have that with dinner.

Exercise: I have a schedule and not sticking to it really but my gym buddy wants to go up to 3 days a week, so we'll see how it goes.
Monday dance, Tuesday laundry, Wednesday lift weights, Thursday dance, Friday dance if possible, Saturday gym and dance at night if possible, and then Sunday gym and dance at night if possible. So, should be able to get two lift days at the gym and an aerobic class on a different day.

Cutting to under 1000 calories for the next couple of weeks and only eating measured/weighed food, because I suspect that I am actually overeating and underestimating. Not walking much these days for no good reason (otherwise known as laziness) so I think the 1000 will compensate for some of that.

Now I have a plan!

View Diet Calendar, 24 October 2019:
898 kcal Fat: 31.53g | Prot: 60.57g | Carbs: 94.30g.   Breakfast: Milk (Nonfat), Meijer Greek Nonfat Yogurt, Blueberries, Maple Syrup. Lunch: Tuscan Garden Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing, Giant Eagle Cherry Tomatoes, Pork Loin (Tenderloin, Lean Only), Dole Romaine Lettuce. Dinner: Stop & Shop Butternut Squash, Cornbread (Home Recipe), Chili. more...

Yes, I did the same. I called it 1200 calories but I wasn’t measuring the tbs of oils and seasoning I was using in cooking. In reality it was probably a few hundred calories higher. As long as you’re burning more, you will lose no matter what numbers you put down on fs. Lifting is great for increasing your calorie burn. 🏋🏻‍♀️💕💕💕
