Taking a diet break until 10/21 to see if I can get a reset. The goal is to stop counting calories and relax but not to eat everything I possibly can. I'm still going to lift every day- because that's what I do and I am still going to weigh in every day so you can all see what happens. I am mentally prepared to see the numbers climb. I don't know how high the scale will get in just 4 days but I know it won't be fat. I think I mentally and physically need a break- from the diet part- not the lifting part. I'll never stop lifting and it'll probably be easier and more fun with 2000-2300 cal a day as opposed to 1600-1700. Wish me luck. Later, friends! P.s. Anybody else done this recently and gotten good results? I fear that 4 days isn't going to reset anything but I am afraid to do a week or 2 so I pray this works. Here goes nothin'!

IDK if I were you I would broaden that to 7 days. Why not? A full week to focus on lifting and not counting. Whatever you do, cheers to success!!

Thanks guys! Kenny and Diablo and L2E got me nervous to not record. LOL... SO I will record and make sure to hit 2000-2300 calories. Maybe it won't be a diet break- maybe it's the right amount of calories needed for the amount of lifting I am doing. IDK Kissangel- I suppose I can see how it goes. I'm nervous though.

There is no reason to be nervous. You have already proven to yourself that you have the desire and discipline to make your diet work. If I may, I would suggest that you take your break in segments. 4 days, back on track for two, and another 4 day break. Just to keep from breaking the good habits that you have established while attempting your reset.

Sorry, lol, didn't mean to make you nervous. I was just putting that out there from my own personal experiences. Maybe don't punch everything into the app, but keep a pen and paper in the kitchen, this way your not seeing the calories, macro's and all the other good stuff, but you can keep an eye on what your eating... you'll be fine...,!

don't worry Kennyn, I was telling her the same thing. I could easily do 5k days if I didn't count hahahaha

-3.25.19- 1st official "Diet Break" Started 3.25.19 @281.6lbs @3000cal average Ended 4.8.19 @282.4lbs @3906cal average This is was my first structured diet Break. I think I was around 2600 calories daily back then. It was a nice break but it didn't sling shot me into a big dip the way I thought it would...

Thanks, CB... I think I’m totally going to be slingshotted into a loss, too. Lol. Guess we’ll see what next month looks like.

I’ve read where others on here have had success with taking a break, and I’m hoping it’s helpful for you, as well. 😊👍🏻

Okay Princess, I read the article, and I'm going to do it for 10 days, starting today. I'm not going to post my weight during this time, except for Monday, for my Challenges. Wish me luck, and I wish you the same. 💚💜💛

Thanks Swedish and Laraae! Ok Shirfleur! Good luck! I drowned myself in peanut butter yesterday among other tasty treats and it didn't cause much of a gain. That's not my intention though...to be clear. I'm going to just add 500 to what I normally had and not worry too much about macros. Yesterday was kinda just for fun. ❤️👍🏼💪🏼

Omgosh! I applaud u cuz I am always afraid to take a break..I do occasionally take a meal break and allow myself something I crave but then its back on track. Good luck and btw, you look great!

Nah, you'll be better off than me. I like beer too much 😂 it took me 3 months to drop 10lbs after that

CB... No one's weight losses and gains irritate me on fs besides mine and yours. I don't know why I track your weight like a stalker but I do. 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ yes...I'm not a drinker. I think I'll do quite well. Thanks for your support.

Diana1234... My "diet" isn't restrictive so it's very easy to follow. I only wish I didn't wait 45 years to do what I'm doing now. Every day is whatever I want within my calories and I aim for more protein. Good luck to you! ❤️👍🏼
