No more eating directly out of the big bowl of watermelon in the fridge.... but I am getting a bit tired of washing this measuring cup.

Yes, I use a food scale and measure in grams. No guesswork.😊

Sometimes when I’m really lazy I’ll weight the container before I start eating and then weigh it after ward so I can eat till I’m satisfied without the annoyance of portioning it out multiple times 😅😅😅😅

I do have a scale that I could use, but in the case of watermelon, all of the measurements in this FS app are in cups, pieces/slices, etc. A cup is certainly more accurate guidance than a "piece" or "slice" of watermelon. Wondering if folks just do a Google search to see what gram/calorie counts for foods are available on the internet when the FS list is less than helpful. Or do your have another source to suggest?

Twiga after you search the food name you can click on one and then change how it’s measured. There are things that only have 1 type of measurement but almost everything is available in grams as well

I look at the nutrition information and will sometimes adjust the amount until the calories match up. So sometimes I end up saying '1.1' servings of something so the calorie count is correct! This works for me as I am basically watching calories and not watching the other aspects as closely.

I eat watermelon every morning with other fresh fruit. My dogs like it in little bites, so I always have some on hand for treats 😀 I've learned to eyeball it & know how much a half cup is. I also have half cup bowls that I use for serving various things. And I did add a food scale to my kitchen in July.
