Edith— from your description of how you injured your knee and it’s lack of improvement, it would be worthwhile to go back to your doctor and ask him to have the radiologist review the MRI specifically looking for a meniscal ROOT tear. It is a really significant injury that usually happens just as you described. It is so often missed on MRI. This injury requires quick surgery or you can be left with lifelong disability from arthritis formation.. let me know what you decide to do.
