The pool I swim at has a broken heater pump and has been down all week. Hopefully Monday. Meantime I have been getting up and out early to beat the heat and walking with my neighbor. We just about have the international world diplomatic crisis solved and we have moved on to new recipes. She is such a great cook— vegetarian, East Indian heritage, raised in South Africa and went to school in France and England. Only problem is she cooks strictly by instinct and habit. Nothing on paper. So I watch and help then fake it. Just finding some of the ingredients is a challenge. She buys some things for me in England when she goes, which is often thank goodness.
