Sooooo this happened LOL I went to get prescriptions this morning, on empty stomach and noticed this bag of chocolate coconut bars marked down since expired at end of month. I had turned down a Stampede breakfast of pancakes with maple syrup. Not even sure why I picked up bag. I wasn't hungry and forgot about it till late this afternoon. I ate two and put away bag. I suddenly wanted all kinds of binge food and the bag was gone in a flash. Sigh. I ate a small regular meal (same as breakfast, a small sandwich) and talked myself out of a full blown binge. This is reality of Binge Eating Disorder. Aaaaauuurrrghhhh I hate when I sabotage myself! Just sharing my real journey :)

After binge episode, here's what I've learned (to help anyone who may struggle with this): 1. Forgive yourself! Your "wires" get crossed when it comes to dealing with food sometimes; just need to learn to "uncross" them :) 2. Positive affirmations & positive self-care (even just eat healthy at next meal) 3. Learn from it: when calm, ask what the emotional trigger was (Me: bought cookies due to anxiety about possible confrontation in afternoon; it was successfully resolved in a very good outcome; ate cookies to relieve self from the previous stress & celebrate it was over). Move past the regret; start fresh next meal/next day :)

We're still with you hon. Not going anywhere. You keep picking yourself up and moving forward. Together we'll all do the same.
